UV-FAN is composed of:

UV-FAN series includes a wide range of wall or wheeled (model -ST) air purifiers.
UV-FAN has a epoxy powder-coated bearing structure in extruded aluminium sheet and a front cover with micro-holes, allowing air to enter and exit at both ends, with an internal silent ventilator that conveys around 150 m3/h of air.
The germicidal chamber houses the UV-C lamps and is built with a special very pure mirrored aluminium, which double UV-C emission  amplifying  the disinfecting power of the lamps.
The original TIOX® Light Progress filter allows for even greater air purification effectiveness.
 UV-FAN ... 2BD-ST-Rc2 model, with integrated 2 external UVC lamps, besides being used in presence of people as so far described (operational or daylight phase), provides the the possibility to use two UVC externally integrated lamps to deeply disinfect the surrounding air and surfaces, by radiating them directly (in the non-operational or night phase, immediately before the use of the room). The operation is controlled  through a remote control provided.
UV-FAN is ready for use and does not require any special maintenance except for the periodical replacement of the lamps, it is entirely built in Italy, with high quality and extremely resistant materials.

UV-FAN

UV-FAN allows deep air disinfection in any type of environment.  Traditional cleaning methods are, often, not sufficient to ensure high levels of hygiene, which can be achieved only by the use of UV-C technology.
The big advantage of this machine is the ability to deal with the air of a room, 24 hours a day, without any contraindication for the staff present. Only a continuous disinfectant action can ensure the security to maintain the microbial load always under control; on the contrary, an intense, but uneven, disinfection results in a fluctuating level of germs present in the environment.
As a matter of fact, environments where food in processed need to be disinfected to keep high hygiene and quality standards, typical of this sector. With UV-FAN, it is possible to achieve disinfection of production, packaging, storage areas, etc. in a simple, immediate and safe way, without developing heat, without the use of liquids and chemicals and without any contraindications.
Conveyed by a silent built-in fan, the air in the room passes through the germicidal chamber of the purifier to be decontaminated from microbes, but also from chemical contaminants; in addition to the UV-C lamps, UV-FAN also contains an innovative Titan dioxide nano-particle filter TIOX ® with silver salts, which enhances the germicidal action of ultraviolet effect.
UV-FAN achieves the elimination (99%) of bacteria such as Bacillus, Coli, Clostridium, Legionella, Vibrio, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus, etc. in just a few minutes of operation, its efficacy is also active against the virus causing COVID-19 possible spread.
Germicidal efficiency is certified by accredited laboratories (SINAL) by the Ministry of Health and the Institute of Hygiene at the University of Siena (the abatement of 3 logs of the T.M.C. has been certified).

F.A.Q.

Ultraviolet rays are electromagnetic waves which are part of light. Electromagnetic waves are divided into three main wavelength bands, expressed in nanometers, nm: Ultraviolet rays (UV) 100-400 nm Visible rays (light) 400-700 nm Infrared rays (IR) 700-800,000 nm UV rays are in turn identified in three bands:

  • UV-A (315-400 nm) with tanning properties;
  • UV-B (280-315 nm) con proprietà terapeutiche e di sintesi della vitamina "D";
  • UV-C (100-280 nm) with germicidal properties.

UV-C rays (100-280 nm) have a strong germicidal effect and reach their maximum efficacy at the 265 nm wavelength. The germicidal effect of UV-C radiation covers bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi, moulds and mites; this is mainly due to the destructive effect of the UV-C rays on their DNA, which damage their reproductive system and prevent them from replicating.

Bacteria, Viruses, Spores, Fungi, Mould, and Mites are all sensitive to, and can therefore be eliminated with, UV-C light. Mircrobes cannot acquire resistance to UV-C light, unlike that which occurs using chemical disinfectants and antibiotics. UV rays are ecological. Polluting the environment is inevitable using normal disinfectants. Directly inhaling the vapours, or swallowing food products contaminated by any contact with said chemical disinfectants, can also give rise to a number of serious risks. In cases where chemical disinfectants cannot be eliminated (food, pharmaceutical, healthcare industries, etc.), using ultraviolet rays for disinfection allows a reduction in their use, with considerable economic savings and greater care for the environment, while maintaining and almost always improving the level of disinfection. UV-C light devices can be installed in environments and on machinery and be programmed to maintain the same level of disinfection day and night, guaranteeing ideal hygiene conditions, without highs and lows. On the contrary, chemical disinfectants are effective only during their actual use. Using LIGHT PROGRESS equipped luminaires, operating costs are negligible; it could be said that “LIGHT PROGRESS” UV-C systems do not require maintenance except for the normal replacement of the lamps. The cost/benefit ratio is considered excellent; the devices are both powerful and long-lasting. Hence the elimination of germs using UV-C technology is low-cost and highly effective compared to (or in combination with) other systems.

UV-C really does work when applied correctly and with the necessary precautions. The difference between a quality project and an unsuccessful application is in-depth knowledge and experience gained over time. Since 1987, Light Progress has been carrying out successful projects all over the world and has acquired a clientele of major companies in all sectors that require verified hygienic conditions to produce quality products and services.
